  THE SALAMANDER November 2021
COMMON HALL 2021 REPORT
Common Hall took place on 2nd July this year. This is the time for the Company’s AGM, for reports, for adoption of the accounts, for Installation of the new Master and other new Post-Holders plus a re- dedication service at St. Mary-Le- Bow.
This year, because of the Covid restrictions and difficulties for many to meet at Common Hall, the various reports were sent out by the Clerk by e-mail to all members. These included the Master’s report, ESCB report, FMAC report (Finance Manager / Assistant
Clerk), WCFF report (Accounts General Fund), CT report (Charitable Trust) and the Clerk”s report. If anyone missed these, then the Clerk can be contacted to supply copies by e-mail.
A lot of work has been going on behind the scenes to maintain the Company in fine fettle and financially sound with Charitable work still on-going too throughout this lock-down period. However, the reports highlight the need for improved involvement and attendance by members in the various Company activities and to
charitable giving, if the Company is to re-start effectively and continue to make future progress in its work.
Frances Blois, Master during this period, as well as the Clerk, his Assistant Geoff Fall, ESCB Chair and new Master Graham Maltby as well as others helping on the various steering committees, deserved the thanks given for their unstinting efforts over the last two years. Common Hall looked forward to supporting the new team at the helm for 2021/2022.
