Upper Warden
Andrew Mayes
Andy’s interest in the City was first awakened by many late-night discussions with his father-in-law, who worked in the City for over 50 years in the Insurance Industry, concentrating on fire-risk. Andy trained as an accountant, and spent over thirty years working in business across many industries including IT, manufacturing and fire safety. He was appointed a Magistrate in 2004 and sits in the Adult Court as well as on the Family Panel. He is a member of the Independent Monitoring Board for prisons in Cambridgeshire. In 2015 he was appointed a member of the Lord Chancellor’s Advisory Committee. Andy has served as a school Governor in both Primary and Secondary Education.
He became a Freeman of the City of London in 2007 and joinedtheWorshipfulCompany of Firefighters in 2008. He was clothed in Livery in 2010. Married in 1976, he and his wife Carol have four grown-up children.
Renter Warden
Frances Blois
As a mathematician, Francis worked for BP in a variety of roles from Operational Research to Exploration, and is still a trustee of the BP Benevolent Fund. Francis joined the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry in 1979 and is still a member as a Callout Operator. As a Westminster City Councillor, Francis was the Borough Representative on the LFCDA from 1994 to 2000 and, as Lord Mayor of Westminster, Frances was honoured to be granted the Freedom of the City of London as Citizen and Firefighter in 2003. She is the current Chairman of the WCOFF Charitable Trust.
In addition, Francis is Chairman of her Local Safer Neighbourhood Panel, a Trustee of the Spinal Research Trust, an Honorary Steward at Westminster Abbey and a longstanding Governor of St Peter’s Primary School, Eaton Square.
As Renter Warden, Francis is looking forward to progressing to be the second Lady Master of our Company in 2019.

Graham Maltby
Graham joined the Kent Fire Brigade rising through the ranks to become Kent’s Commander Central Operations in 1992.
He then became Deputy Chief Fire Officer of Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service. He obtained a Master of Science Degree in Fire Command and was awarded the Queens Fire Service Medal in the New Year’s Honours List in 2005. Graham joined the National Pro-curement Agency for Fire and Rescue Services retiring in 2014.
Graham joined the Worshipful CompanyofFirefightersin2000 becoming a Liveryman in 2004. He was elected as a Court Member in 2013, Under Warden in July 2017 and is Vice-Chair of both the Charitable Trust and the Education and Training Committee and recently has chaired the Fire Lecture Coordinating Group.
His hobbies include cricket, model railways and listening to music. He has been married to Barbara for over 40 years and have a married daughter.
