    Outgoing Master’s Report
This Master’s year along with the previous fifteen months as the Chair of the Emergency Strategic Coordination Board (ESCB), during the long period of coronavirus has been challenging and unprecedented within the Company’s 34 year history and hopefully will never be repeated again.
As Master, I am indebted for their support, advice, hard work and loyalty in moving the Company
forward on many fronts in a changing era. We are fortunate this is underpinned by the continued tight monitoring of our finances, a cornerstone for the foreseeable future if the Company is to survive and continue to serve its Membership, the Livery and the City of London.
At the beginning of my term as Master, my prime objectives were to place more efforts internally ensuring the Company had efficient, effective, less costly and
streamlined business operating procedures along with more responsibility, authority and accountability for the Management Board coupled within the Standing Committees allowing Court to concentrate on Policy and Strategy. Revised and updated Standing Orders have now successfully been in operation for a year.
The next priority was to establish better links with “Blue Light and other Emergency Services” serving the City of London. Good progress
