The Masters Diary

The Masters DiaryThe Master and Mistress were privileged to attend the banquet for the incoming Lord Mayor at the Guildhall on Monday 13th November which was attended by the Prime Minister. Sadly The Master was not called upon to make a speech after the Incoming Lord Mayor , The outgoing Lord Mayor , The Prime Minister , The Lord Chancellor and The Archbishop of Canterbury had all had their say ,but as everyone was "all speeched out "by then that was probably as well.

The Masters Diary

On Monday 5th February the Master and Mistress were within a group of Livery Masters who accompanied the Lord Mayor and Aldermanic Sherrif on a visit to Trelaors school in Alton Hampshire . The school was founded by Sir William Trelaors a former Lord Mayor in 1906 and remains supported by the City to this day. The school now is residential and cares for 170 of the most profoundly mentally and physically handicapped children and teenagers . The school operates a 1 to 1 staff to student ratio and the dedication and commitment of the staff is miraculous .The students gave a concert for the Lord Mayor and Masters in the afternoon which was very moving but also remarkably uplifting. Altogether a wonderful day.
